A special tool for grooving and spot facing performed with one pass. The front assembly tool mounts a special HSS thread taper for high-speed rigid machining. On the rear tool a special CHAMSLIT cutter mounted with special profile TRI inserts with three cutting edges and a HELITANG cutter mounted with T490 LNMT tangentially clamped inserts with 4 helical cutting edges. Precise tool assembly overhang for slotting is achieved with ground spacers for use in Multi Spindle machines.
